Troubleshooting guide

The following troubleshooting guide is provided to help you determine and correct the most common problems that could occur. It is not the intent or the purpose of this manual to imply or suggest that anyone but trained and qualified service personnel attempt to service the equipment.

If after reviewing the troubleshooting guide, you have not found the source of the unit’s malfunction, contact your reseller. In order to respect the terms of the warranty, all repairs must be made by an authorized representative.

Equipment status Possible causes Simple solutions
Heat pump does not run The heat pump is not on Turn on the unit. Verify that the circuit breaker is on.
The pool filter pump is not functioning. Turn the pool filter pump on.
The water flow towards the heat pump is insufficient. Clean the pool filter, verify the valves and ensure that the water flow is correct.
The thermostat is not starting up the heat pump. Set the temperature control setting to a higher temperature setting.
The command, which protects the unit, stops. Turn the unit on and off a few times.
The heat pump shuts off less than two minutes after start up. The water flow towards the heat pump is obstructed. The heat pump will shut off when the refrigerant pressure is to high. Clean the pool filter, and adjust the water derivation valve.
The heat pump will shut off when the refrigerant pressure is too low. Contact a certified technician who will repair the leak and refill the heat pump.
The heat pump’s fan is not functioning. Ask a certified technician to verify the fan motor.
The unit is not functioning but the fan is functioning. The integrated timer is engaged. Wait for 3 to 5 minutes and the unit will startup automatically.
The evaporators are frosted. The unit will startup automatically once the frost is gone.
The unit is running continuously but the desired temperature is not achieved. Heat loss too large for the capacity of the heat pump. Cover the pool as often as possible.
Water flow restriction. Locate the obstruction and clean it.
The unit is located in an enclosed area or where the airflow is restricted, either at the intake or the output of the energy collectors. Remove obstacles or relocate the unit.
Air flow restriction. Clean the energy collectors.
The pool surface is too large for the heat pump capacity. See your dealer.
