Construction configuration

1. The refrigeration circuit

As described in the section "How does it work?" a heat pump pool heater is built with a refrigeration circuit consisting of:

  • The evaporator that absorbs heat.
  • The compressor to increase the heat and pressure of the freon.
  • The heat exchanger to transfer heat from the refrigerant to the water.
  • The pressure control regulator device to modify and regulate the pressure of the system.

This refrigeration circuit is completed using cooper pipe that links the components together through which the refrigerant circulated. A filter dryer is also integrated to the circuit to keep circulation clean and dry.

2. The control components

To simplify the operation of the heat pump pool heater, control components have been integrated:

  • The thermostat electromechanical or digital is used to set the require temperature of water.
  • The principal protection devices
    • Auto defrost control to eliminate frost on the evaporator in cold temperature conditions.
    • Auto Flow switch to shut the system when there is no water flow.
    • High /low pressure auto reset to shut the system and compressor in the event of low or high pressure.
    • Auto compressor time delay, to allow the pressure to decrease with a set time period request by the compressor to restart.

These components help to protect the system, ease the operations, and increase the durability of the product.

3. Sturdiness and durability

All components used in the manufacturing process of a heat pump pool heater including the cabinets are configurated to be weather proof and resistant. Your heat pump could resist to almost all weather condition and should sustain a life expectancy of 15 to 20 years.
