INSTA Manuel specific operation

A. ON/OFF Switch :

The INSTA MANUAL 55 has been designed to operate manually.

1. Once the unit has been connected to the pool system and and electrical panel, power up the pool filter pump
2. Next, set the switch to ON Both the fan and the compressor will power on simultaneously. Once the pool has reached the desired temperature set the switch to the OFF position, to turn the unit off.
3. The integrated thermal protection system allows for a temperature increase of 42 °C (108 °F) in your pool or spa.

B. High Pressure Cutoff Switch with Manual RESET :

This heat pump is equipped with a high pressure cutoff manual reset switch. This switch will cut the power to the unit if water circulation is insufficient or interrupted within the heat exchanger.

Therefore if the water flow is insufficient or interrupted when the unit is powered on, the refrigerent pressure will increase until the high pressure cutoff switch is activated. Once the cutoff switch has been activated the fan and the compressor will turn off.

To reset the unit, please follow the instructions in the same order as they appear:

1. Set the heat pump power switch to OFF
2. Set the heat pump breaker to OFF
3. Wait 3 minutes (for the system pressure to decrease)
4. Open the switch access panel, right side
5. Press the high pressure cutoff switch
6. Close the switch access panel, right side
7. Set the heat pump breaker to ON
8. Verify filtration system water flow
9. Set the heat pump power switch to ON.

C. Automatic Thermostat Protection :

This unit is equipped with an automatic integrated thermal protection cut-off system. The thermal protection allows for an increase in your pool or spa temperature of up to 42°C (108°F). The temperature must decrease by 2.3°C (5°F) before the thermal protection reengages the heat pump.
