InstallationElectrical connectionsTo ensure your safety and ensure the adequate functioning of your heat pump, all electrical work should be performed by a fully qualified and licensed electrician in accordance with local electrical codes. An adequate circuit breaker and copper wiring must be used. Refer to the electrical installation diagram found on the inside of the access panel. It may be necessary to install a ground fault breaker. The unit requires the following input power supply:
The power cable ground must be connected to the electrical panel and to the ground lug of the heat pump. An improper installation may be a potential cause of fire, electrical shock or injury. Ensure that the heat pump is securely electrically grounded to prevent severe electrolytic corrosion. I.E. join the grounding cables from the different pool equipment to a common ground. Note: Some heat pump models have their grounding lugs and electrical connections located in the units electrical control panel.
