By-pass installation

Installation of a By-Pass controls system is suggested to maximize performance and simplify operation of your heat pump pool heater.

By-pass controls water flow in the heat exchanger.

By-pass is specially needed in the following situations :

• To stop water circulation in the heater when :
  • Pool water is corrupted (algea, etc.)
  • In situation of chemical shock treatment
  • When servicing the heat pump.
• To maximize heat exchange performance in colder weather conditions such as Spring and Fall period :
  • Reducing flow of water increase pressure into the system and temperature of the refrigerant, permitting a higher heat exchange.
• To reduce flow of water when G.P.M. is too high. (pump of 1.5 HP or more)
